Abbaye du Paraclet

The Paraclet Abbey is located in Ferreux-Quincey and the memory of Héloïse and Abélard continues to haunt these places! The 12th century buildings have disappeared making way for a 17th century abbey house, a 16th and 17th century monks' cellar and a late 19th century chapel. The site is private and can be visited exclusively during the summer (July 15 to August 30, 2021), every day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. (30-minute visits, last visits at 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.). CLOSED ON SUNDAYS INFORMATION: • Tours are guided • Visit of the site of the tomb of Abelard and Heloise in the park of the Abbey, and of the Cellier des Moines. • The buildings cannot be visited, except the 12 / 13th century vaulted kitchen (ISMH) and the 17th staircase (ISMH) of the abbey house • Dogs must be kept on a leash • Cars must be parked outside
